Water markers

What will they make next??? It really is amazing the stuff they make for children these days! I know I sound like a very OLD person!!! But, we didn't have anything this cool and we survived. I seriously think a lot about how much has changed in 30 some years....life as a child is so different than my childhood- and even MORE different in Brooke's Grandparent's eyes I am sure!!! But, I don't have any bad memories...I had a great childhood. We used our imagination much more! I am so thankful that Brooke has quite an imagination. So, I am trying to go back to my childhood and remember the fun things we did, so I can do them with her. I remember making forts or tents with blankets and chairs inside and outside in the yard. I remember playing store and using chairs for the conveyor belt. I would make my brothers shop and then I would pretend to use the cash register and slide the items down the "conveyor" belt! We would use real grocery bags, so we thought we were so cool. I also have memory of playing library. Summer time is my most vivid memories....my mom had a bookshelf that she let us put books on. I glued envelopes in the back of each book and then put a card with the book name on it. Our neighbors would come over and check out the books. I would write their name on the card and keep the card so I knew they had it at their house. How fun is that?! I was a Grocery Clerk and a Librarian at age 5!!! I aso have great memories of having lemonade on my mom's silver tray. She would bring out cups of lemonade on the tray for me and my friends when we played in our tent in the backyard. We also had a lemonade stand and would sell lemonade....so fun! I hope Brooke will enjoy her childhood as much as I did.
